Pau Velarde is an artist and PhD researcher in Fine Arts at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her research explores biodata as an emerging artistic language in contemporary art, investigating how biological and physiological signals can be translated into poetic and aesthetic forms through transdisciplinary collaborations between art, science, and technology. Her work operates at the intersection of artistic research, data-driven art, and artificial intelligence, examining new ways of perceiving and representing the body through technological systems. Through her doctoral research, Velarde investigates how the invisible data generated by the human body can be transformed into tangible artistic experiences through light, space, and sensory engagement. Her practice integrates artistic experimentation, spatial thinking, visual media, and research methodologies to explore the evolving relationship between biological data, creativity, perception, and environment.
